This project is applied the Damper system to reduce the seismic load. First of all, the decision for proper location of dampers is needed, and then the target of building performance level and members level have to be satisfied.
The modeling is used by Perform 3D program to evaluate the non-linear behavior of building with bearing wall.
Generally, the linear and non-linear modeling will use the different analysis program, so the initial stiffness and behavior such as the period for building have to be checked.
Seismic performance evaluation is conducted on the building which has been designed based on prescriptive code.
The static pushover analysis and the dynamic time history with non-linear analysis model verified the structure performance as subjected to various ground shaking.
The acceptance criteria to be used in demonstrating the capacity limit are shown enough to structure, story drift and element inelastic deformation on both service and MCE level.
Wall rotation, wall axial strain, link beam rotation and damper capacity at certain location are satisfied below the capacity limit.
Strength evaluation on elastic element has been considered such as shear on the wall and shear on the link beam.
